At Soof on the Rhine, it’s all about relaxed enjoyment, surrounded by nature and by the water. Whilst you unwind or enjoy a good book on the veranda of your lodge, the children explore the park as if it were their own back garden. Our facilities have been designed with care: playful and inviting for the young, and stylish and serene for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Playing in style – experiencing nature
Scattered throughout the park, you’ll find several play areas where children can explore, climb and play freely. The play features are made from natural and sustainable materials, carefully integrated into the surroundings so that play and nature blend seamlessly together.
Barefoot in the sand, balancing on wooden logs and playfully engaging with the natural forms of the landscape – whilst you enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of fine wine in the sun.
And for those who wish to explore further, you can simply walk straight into the Betuwe countryside, along the banks of the Rhine and through the characteristic landscape around Soof aan de Rijn. There is also a Klompenpad trail leading directly from the park into the region.
Endless water fun at Soof aan de Rijn
At Soof aan de Rijn, the water experience comes to life all year round in a stylish, indoor and heated swimming pool. The design has retained the characteristic chimney of the former brickworks and subtly integrated it as a recognisable feature that connects the park with its surroundings and history.
On fine days, the side doors open, allowing you to walk straight from the pool to the spacious sunbathing area. This green oasis surrounding the pool offers plenty of space to relax, with comfortable sun loungers and natural shaded spots that invite you to spend long, peaceful days in the open air.
For the little ones, there is a playful splash park where water fun takes centre stage, whilst you enjoy the peace and that carefree holiday feeling by the Rhine.

Entertainment with care, recreation & experiences
At Soof aan de Rijn, entertainment isn’t about hustle and bustle, but about creating experiences. A relaxed programme full of surprising activities for young guests, set amidst the natural beauty of the Betuwe. Think of craft sessions, face painting, adventurous survival training and exploring the surroundings in a playful way.
There are also regular special moments at the park, such as meeting ponies, which is a real treat for many children. The Betuwe countryside and the banks of the Rhine provide the backdrop for a varied programme full of fun, creativity and adventure.
